FUNDRAISING IS FUN!
I know the reason we need to raise money is serious, but why not have fun doing it? Here are some great ideas…
Organise a tournament
This could be for your friends (perhaps footie or computer games) and you could charge them to enter it.
A sale at school
Ask your friends to bring in their unwanted toys and books, and then stage an auction at school.
A silly game olympics
Dream up the wackiest games you can, and charge an entry fee to the ‘athletes’.
Auction a day of your own time
The winner could get you to wash their car, tidy your room etc.
A bad hair day
Get friends and family to sponsor you to wear the silliest hairstyle imaginable for a whole day.
TIPS ON HOW TO ORGANISE YOUR EVENT
Here are some things you can do to make your event a success:
1) Get help from a parent or guardian and your mates
2) Set a date for the event
3) Find a suitable venue if you need one (make sure you get permission)
4) Remember to tell people how their money will be spent by WWF
5) Use the sponsorship form – click here to download one
6) Make sure to collect the money from people who’ve pledged some!
7) When you have completed your event, send a cheque for the money you have raised to WWF (please don't send cash). Cheques should be made payable to WWF-UK.
